Koh Muk

An island that few locals know about but don’t be fooled by its lack of popularity. Though the water at Koh Muk isn’t crystal clear, it boasts one of the best caves in Thailand! Emerald cave or Tham Morakot was only discovered a few decades ago and believed to be where pirates hid their treasure! The cave can only be accessed during low tide as you have to swim through a 70 meter long pitch black cave and although this experience may be hair raising for some, it is definitely worthwhile when you emerge on the other side on the sandy beach surrounded by towering vegetative cliffs looking up at toucans flying overhead.
