Settle into your seats, get comfortable, and prepare to be captivated by the picturesque views as we sail to the beautiful islands surrounding Phang Nga Bay. This area is characterized by stunning limestone cliffs, hidden mangrove forests, caves and lagoons. Upon your arrival in Phang Nga Bay, visit the famous Panak Island. This island has it all – caves, lagoons, private beaches and natural plants! But watch out for the local monkeys! Anchor there or head on to Koh Hong Phang Nga for the night.
Wake up early so you can be among the first to swim and explore the large internal lagoon which the locals call ‘The Room Island’ in the morning at Koh Hong Phang Nga before the area is filled with local speedboat tours. Still in Phang Nga Bay, head towards Koh Panyee, the local Sea Gypsy Village while cruising pass more magnificent limestone cliffs and islands with remarkable views. Koh Panyee also known as the Sea Gypsy Village, is a community of houses, schools, shops, mosques and markets set on stilts over the water. It can get quite touristy but it’s worth a visit for a grasp of the livelihoods of local fishermen. With some time to spare, cruise past the famous James Bond Island – the location for the film The Man with the Golden Gun before heading to anchor at Koh Roi for a serene night under the stars.
Explore Koh Roi first thing in the morning. This island is also known as the Fruit Bat Valley. On the beach, there’s a small cave-like opening which you can walk or swim into (depending on tide). This opening expands into a large rainforest area with mangroves, fruit bats and many birds. A truly wonderful surprise hidden behind the beach!
Via Koh Hong Krabi (another delightful lagoon) – head towards Ao Nang Beach, which is the heart of the Krabi Province. You will be able to absorb some local Thai culture and shopping here.
From Ao Nang Beach, head to Koh Poda and Koh Poda Nok for some Krabi Island exploration! Here is where the famous Chicken Island lies. Find the right angle and you might just see a chicken head popping out of the Island.
At low tide, don’t forget to stop at Talay Waek which lies right between the two islands! A sand bank will appear which connects two small islands together.
Head back towards Railey Beach where you can anchor for the night and go down to explore the nice local restaurants and island night life. There’s something unique and charming about the night life on this island.
Head to Bamboo Island at sunrise! Catch this stunning
island completely isolated before all the joined tours arrive and crowd the beach. Here is where you will find your first feel of absolute clear crystal water on your trip.
On the way to Phi Phi Don from Bamboo Island, don’t forget to stop in an area called ‘Hin Klang’ – there’s a hidden blue water clearing mid sea which makes an excellent snorkeling spot!
After lunch, its time to do some sight seeing around the beautiful landscapes surrounding the world famous, Phi Phi islands! Head towards Nui Bay for some swimming and snorkeling. By the way, if find the right angle from inside the bay, the rock formation looks like a camel!
To end your day, pick up a mooring at Monkey Beach for the night and enjoy the beach all to yourself at sunset after all the tour boats leave.
Start early and beat the crowd to the famous Maya Bay, famous for its scenes from Leonardo Di Caprio’s movie The Beach. This beach is truly magical, even more so with very few tourists in the morning.
After Maya bay, sail around Phi Phi Leh and visit all the other attractions including the Lo Sama Bay and the Viking Cave.
Head back to Phi Phi Don and Anchor at Tonsai Bay, the heart of Phi Phi Island. Enjoy dinner at the local restaurants here and see the famous night life of Phi Phi Island including fire shows and dances by both locals and foreigners.
After breakfast, make your way back towards Phuket.
This is possibly the longest sailing period of the trip, enjoy the breeze and start sailing towards Koh Yao Yai or Naka Island for your last night on board.
You may divert to Maiton Island for a little while or if not you may stop at Koh Khai Nai on the way to your anchoring spot for a quick swim and have lunch at the famous local island restaurant called Chok Dee!
Anchor at Koh Yao Yai or Naka Island for the night.
Enjoy a relaxed last day with a swim and a stroll on the beach before setting sail back to Phuket.
