The best of both worlds – Situated between Phang Nga Bay and Phi Phi island, you can find both the beautiful emerald green waters and limestone cliffs of Phang Nga Bay as well as clear blue waters of the Southern Islands. One of the most striking features of Krabi is Mu Koh Hong islands – islands fringed with rain forests, hidden lagoons and offer fine beaches and coral reefs. Popular activities include snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, sea-canoeing and nature studies on the 400-metre hiking trail around Koh Hong.
Further South you will find Poda Group Islands which consist of Poda island, Chicken island, Koh Tup and Koh Mo. Poda island is among the most popular out of the 4 islets for its white sand beach shaded by pine trees and exceptionally clear water. Chicken island, locally known as Koh Kai takes its name from the chicken-shaped rock forming its southern tip. During low tide go ahead and walk across to Koh Tup and Koh Mo which are connected by sand banks! The abundant coral reefs and the wonderful marine life make these islands ideal for diving and snorkeling.
